Public Relations and Event Management Coordinator – Part Time (4 days/week)

SVI has created a brand new role for a qualified and experienced public relations and events professional with a strong track record of success and at least 5 years experience, ideally in a philanthropic setting. The role aims at enhancing public awareness of SVI’s research activities, achievements and goals and thus reach potential donors who’s philanthropic interests and goals may be closely aligned to SVI. There are a range of public relations and communications responsibilities in the role through to the co ordination and execution of a variety of fundraising and public relations events across the year.

The position sits within the well established SVI Foundation unit comprising a small team of dedicated fundraising staff and high profile and passionate sponsors and volunteers.

Using effective public relations tools and well planned, promoted and executed public events we see an exciting, rewarding and dynamic opportunity for the right person. To be successful in the role you will be tertiary qualified, ideally in marketing, public relations or event management, possess superior written and verbal communication skills, be a keen team player and an effective relationship manager. Well networked in Melbourne in media and events management will be highly regarded.
