SVI announces new Deputy Director

Posted: 07th March 2018

We take great pleasure in announcing that distinguished SVI researcher Associate Professor Natalie Sims has been appointed as the Institute’s Deputy Director.

Natalie completed her PhD at the University of Adelaide and worked as a post-doc at the Garvan Institute and at Yale University. After a very productive time there she returned to Australia in 2001 and has built her team at SVI, focusing over the last 13 years on cellular signalling pathways that control bone mass, shape and composition. Her ultimate goal is to identify signalling pathways that can be exploited for therapeutic benefit in people with bone diseases such as osteoporosis.

You can read more about Natalie's work here, or view this video.

We look forward to the insight and vision that Natalie will bring to this leadership role.
