Individual projects and costs must be discussed with the Mass Spectrometry Facility Coordinator before commencing any work.

All users are required to sign an access agreement, complete an induction and training. On
completion, the user will be able to book their access in conjunction with SVI staff and other facility users.

Operating times are 9 am–5.30 pm Monday to Friday.

    • Agilent 1260 HPLC coupled with Sciex 5600 TripleTOFTM QTOF (ESI, CID equipped) for intact protein analysis, small molecule qualification etc.
    • Shimadzu Nexera LC-30AD UHPLC coupled with Sciex 5500 QTRAPTM (ESI, CID equipped) for peptide, metabolites, small molecule quantification etc.
    Bookings

    Users must be trained before booking time on instruments.

    If you can’t use your booking, please cancel it as soon as possible to allow others use the instruments.

    Fees

    Standard access fees for use of the SVI Mass Spectrometry facility and resources are required to contribute towards consumables and instrument and facility running costs, including staff, maintenance, calibrations and in some cases to include a modest contribution towards servicing and replacement.

    Costs for other users will be on a cost-recovery model depending on the number of samples and the difficulty of the analysis to be undertaken. A membership model is also available for laboratories.
