Dr Matt Lacorcia has been awarded a JDRF Postdoctoral Fellowship for his work on developing a new, more accurate method to determine if someone is at high risk of developing type 1 diabetes. This new technique will also allow us to understand how the immune response changes as type 1 diabetes progresses and how it may be dampened with new therapies, such as baricitinib, in the future.
JDRF’s Postdoctoral Fellowships are awarded to promising scientists who are early in their professional career in the type 1 diabetes research field.
