Associate Professor André La Gerche
The head of SVI’s Heart, Exercise and Research Trials (H.E.A.R.T) Laboratory, André La Gerche has been promoted to Professor.
André’s appointment to Professor comes on the back of his most recent successes in being awarded a prestigious NHMRC Investigator grant and the publication of his groundbreaking study on the genetic predisposition of elite athletes to heart disease in leading journal, Circulation.
André is an exceptionally talented cardiologist and internationally renowned leader in cardiac research and we congratulate him on his very well deserved promotion.
