Celebrating discovery and purpose at the SVI Golf Day

A spirit of camaraderie and purpose filled the air as supporters, sponsors, and scientists came together for the 16^th SVI Golf Day at Kew Golf Club – an event that raised more than $110,000 for the cutting-edge research taking place at SVI.

Michael Burn, SVI Chair, shared his gratitude for the many hands that made the day possible:

Among the 120 players on the green were some of SVI’s leading researchers, including SVI Director Professor Tom Kay, Associate Professor Davis McCarthy, Associate Professor Wayne Crismani, and Dr Chris Langendorf – as well as SVI Foundation Chair, Jeremy Gobbo KC and board member Michael Wachtel. SVI also welcomed cricket legend, Damien Flemming, and comedian/actor, Peter Helliar.

Special recognition was also given to the Golf Day Committee – Michael Burn, Mark Kerr, Bernadette Dennis OAM, Jeni Coutts, Dan Giesen-White, Simon Haidar and Barry Holbrook – for their commitment and energy in bringing the event to life.
