Through her raffle fundraiser, Jedda Hindmarsh is helping to drive awareness, advance scientific discovery, and give hope to others living with lipoedema.
Every raffle ticket purchased will help fund life-changing research into the chronic and painful condition that affects about 11% of women and remains underdiagnosed.
For years, Jedda lived with unexplained pain, swelling and fatigue that were often dismissed or misdiagnosed. Her eventual diagnosis in 2021 brought clarity and a powerful motivation to ensure others don’t face the same long road to understanding.
Proceeds from the raffle will support the team of the Lymphatic, Adipose & Regenerative Medicine Lab, who are studying the genetic and molecular causes of lipoedema.
Their work aims to identify the biological drivers of the disease and pave the way for new, more effective therapies.
The raffle prize, a stunning handmade quilt, designed and donated by volunteer group Quilters Connect 4 a Cause, symbolises the compassion and community spirit behind this campaign.
